Scared for Pregnancy=Ashlyn

Over the last few weeks I have been hearing too much about how it is to be pregnant, in labor, and the joys of motherhood. Because all of my friends seem to be having babies all at the same time it seems like I am the only one without a bundle of joy on the way. I have been to baby shower after baby shower every weekend for the last month. Everyone is having a baby!! Yesterday while at my friend Nicole's baby shower I sat with the pregnant girls and listened to them talk about the good and the bads of pregnancy!! I was quite entertained listening to the odd pains you get from pregnancy, to the crazy lady you become due to hormones. Wow, pregnancy and motherhood sure sound fun!! Yeah right! I love these girls to death that are having babies and I know that they are excited for their new addition to come in a few weeks. But being the only non pregnant one listening to the girls it made me reconsider being a mother so soon. I think Jon and I will continue to wait a few more years!! Ha Ha!! Sorry to those that are trying to get us to add a little Ellsworth!!

Too funny! I hear ya though, it's hard to be the only one...my last ward was like that. You'll be an awesome mom whenever you feel like having the time is right, then they'll all be wanting to share their expert advice which will get annoying. I don't know about you but being a teacher sure made me think twice...you're practically the mother of 30 kids instead of just one. Don't let them scare you though, pregnancy isn't all that bad, it's actually been really fun despite what my blog might say. You get special treatment and can eat anything you want, now who wouldn't want that?

The only thing I can say, don't judge whether or not to be pregnant by what pregnant women are saying. Of course we are complaining, we are pregnant and sometimes uncomfortable. But all it takes is to hold the baby and know that things just got soooo much better. Harder of course, but with things that are hard, the rewards are SOOOOOO much better!

I'm not gonna lie. I hate being pregnant.Okay, there are some really cool things about it, like feeling the baby move. But, the end result is more than worth it.

Don't ever feel rushed into having to get pregnant and start having babies. I think every newlywed couple most importantly needs time alone first. Layn and I are so glad we waited a couple years to start having babies.

Don't worry Ashlyn, pregnancy is all worth it. Every bit. I had the same fears when we were newlyweds

Pregnancy is an adventure as you will find out when you are ready. Both good and bad, but on delivery day it is all worth it!!! I also have a lot of friends who are pregnant, and lynn is sick of me leaving all the time for baby showers :) but they are kind of nice for me!

ah, it is all different when it is you and your body...it becomes more funny then scary! I can't say I loved being prego like some do, but I do miss little things. Cute belly-when you still look good in your clothes-kicking and feeling them move!

Ash-
It's not funny to joke about things as serious as babies! I still think you are a bum ;) but love you too!

Oh wow, I agree with Mary....that was the pregnant girl talking at the shower, don't listen! Why do you think I keep getting pregnant, because you forget all the misery and just remember the JOY! Feel free to wait as long as you need, we did too, just know when you do have a little one, it will be the most wonderful time of your lives!
