You're Invited to The Scentsy Party!!

Hey gals and pals!! Don't forget my Scentsy Candle Party this Thursday March 27th from 6:00-8:30 p.m. You can just drop by anytime between those times and come enjoy great food, chatting with your friends, and to check out the wickless candle company Scentsy. I love these wickless wax burners. It has a lightbulb inside to keep the wax warm and you can feel safe leaving it on during the day. We use these at school because they are safe and they give off great scents to help the yucky school stench!! There are over 40 cute decorative burners for your home, or office. There are also over 80 different flavors to try at the party. I promise they are amazing!!! I can't wait and hope to see you all there! If you have questions call me (480)861-4849 or email me ashlyn1214@hotmail.com

"Challenges are what makes life interesting. Overcoming them is what makes life meaningful."

Yesterday we got a phone call from our mortgage company that wasn't what we expected. On Monday our new home was appraised and our loan officer contacted us when he heard the details from the appraiser Tuesday. Our great new home turned out to be a not so great home. The loan officer's exact words were, "The structure of the home was very poorly built." So we asked more questions and come to find out they were very cheap and built the home in a hurry and they said it definately is not worth the price we were paying. I was devasted. I asked myself how could something that felt so right be so wrong? I spent yesterday in tears all day just trying to understand it all. I loved the home and we went just Monday to measure for blinds and pick out the paint colors. After spending much of my afternoon talking with Jon and just thinking about what to do, we have decided to go back out and start house shopping AGAIN! So, we aren't buying that home but we will still find something. I know this all is happening for a reason and we are going to end up getting something so much better. It is just hard to get your hopes up and then taken right from under you.

Big News From The Ellsworth's

No, we aren't having a baby yet!! We bought our first home on Monday!! Jon and I have both been wanting to get into a home while the prices are great. Plus we want to stop paying rent. We have been working with our realtor for the last month and we finally found our new home. Our place is in Gilbert on Higley and Ray Road if that means anything to those around Arizona and are familar with the crossroads. It is brand new place with 3 bedrooms, a library/den, 2 1/2 baths, a beautiful kitchen (thats what I like most). The home is wonderful and Jon and I are so excited! We are working on closing the end of this month which means we will probably move in the beginning or mid April. I am very sad to leave the area we are at now because of the wonderful friends we have around us in our ward. However, our lasting friendships will hopefully last even when we do move away. We will all have to keep in touch and continue seeing each other often. We are so excited to have our own place and do great things with it!

My Wonderful Husband Jon

For those of you who know Jon you know what a great loving guy Jon is. He is the greatest thing ever and I don't know what I would do without him in my life. We were best friends for a year or so before we actualy dated. Jon admits to having a huge crush on me but never had the guts to ask me out because he didn't want to jeopardize our friendship. Everyone kept telling me Jon was the guy for me. Finally one day while at school I told one of my best friends Keeley that maybe I should go out with Jon and see what happens. Not even an hour later I had Jon with flowers asking me out on our first date. The crazy thing about the first date was that it wasn't awkward and it was the best date ever. I knew he was the guy for me. We dated from September to January and then he proposed to me on Friday the 13th (yeah I know kinda scary). He took me to this park in Draper, Utah where we would go in the past and he lead me up the sidewalk into the gazebo where there sat rose petals and this little scrapbook journal he had put together with the ladies at the scrapbook store. I opened and read all about our life together so far and at the end was the question "Will you marry me?" and then the gorgeous ring was tied in the back. What a wonderful life we have had so far. I love Jon so much and everyday I do everything for him and our loving marriage we share. He has things about him that I cherish. Here are five things I love about Jon... First I love his true love for the Lord. I look up to him in everyway for the knowledge he has in the gospel. I love that we were married in the temple for eternity and how wonderful it is to have a strong priesthood holder in our home. Second, I love his care and concern for others. Jon would do anything for anyone. He is always looking for acts of service. He will lend a helping hand to neighbors who are moving, or to a sick family member. Third, I love his sense of humor and goofiness. Jon loves to have fun and be a weirdo but I love that about him. I love the days when we lay on our floor laughing so hard we can't stop. The fourth thing I love about Jon is his love for children. He loves kids. He is so great with my niece Skylen and nephew Zander. He offers to babysit them almost daily. He loves to be with kids and he will make the greatest father ever! And finally the last thing I love about Jon is his love for me. Jon has uncondiitonal love for me and he knows I am not perfect. I have messed up at times and he still loves me and would do anything for me. He is simply wonderful. I can't even express him in words enough. Jon is an incredible husband, brother, friend, and son. Love ya babe!

One ticket to paradise for anyone in Utah interested!

So I just got off the phone with my mom Rebecca who is in Utah right now getting ready to move into their brand new home in Riverton. For those of you who know my family, you know that my parents bought a home here in Arizona nearby their two daughters and they are building a home in Utah. They spend winters in Arizona and summers in Utah. How would that be? My mom was telling me how awful the snow is there. I have been in contact with many of you Utards and we have been talking about the awful winter you guys are having. What a great year I chose to move to sunny Arizona. I do love the snow only on Christmas. But man I think if I didn't move last year I would be moving this year If I was still in Utah. I love Arizona! It got cold during the winter to about 50 degrees and it was cold enough for a few weeks to wear sweaters but now the perfect weather is approaching us. It is in the 70's right now and I LOVE IT!! I am extending a free place to stay and a fun vacation for any of you who want to beat the cold and come enjoy the sunshine. I have an extra bedroom and bathroom for anyone!! Just something to think about while you all are freezing to death in the brutal winter. Don't forget you could still have one to two more months of this!! Love ya!!

You Will Forever Be In Our Hearts

There was one man besides my father who has made a significant difference in my life. He is a hero to me and he will forever be missed. President Gordon B. Hinckley is a true prophet of God. Every counsel he gave to us was true revelation. It is very hard to see him pass but how wonderful is it for him to return to his beloved wife and creator. As he passed through the veil, I am sure the heavens were proud and everyone greeted this true leader with open arms. He will be deeply missed but I will always remember this wonderful prophet as a true friend.
I remember when I was visiting my father up at LDS Hospital where he had been suffering severe heart conditions. My family was very stressed and scared for the outcome of my father's life. One day as we sat in the waiting room as my father rested, we noticed a security officer walking through the door and our beloved prophet following behind him. I started crying because I was literally feet away from President Hinckley. He swung his cane and greeted us, "Hello beautiful ladies! How are we all today?" We were nearly speechless as he shook our hands and moved on to visit a sick member of the 12 apostles. I felt so comforted as he walked into the building. To this day I wish I would've asked him to give my father a blessing, however it was great comfort to have met the prophet of the Lord.
President Hinckley stands as a true prophet to me because of his strong testimony of this gospel and for his love for others. He showed unconditional love to all. I will forever keep in my heart his counsels and as a youth I will remember the six b's he gave to all; Be grateful, Be smart, Be clean, Be true, Be Humble, and Be prayerful. Those simple tasks sum up our life on earth. I will strive to be a better person each day I live on earth. I will take the teachings and love that President Hinckley gave me. I cannot wait for the day to return to him and my Heavenly Father in heaven. These days of trials will pay off when I hug them both. President Hinckley I will miss you and I trully love you!!
